LICHT FELD 12

Kurze Geschichte zu LICHT FELD:Begonnen hat alles im Jahr 2001 mit der ersten Ausstellung auf dem Gundeldinger Feld in Basel. Nach 12 Jahren ist daraus eine international beachtete Ausstellungsserie geworden. Zudem nahm LICHT FELD das erste Mal im Jahr 2007 an der internationalen Kunstmesse SCOPE in Miami teil. Mittlerweile sind daraus mehr als 14 Teilnahmen an Kunstmessen in New York, Chicago, Miami, Palm Beach, Istanbul und Basel geworden.

Am 17. Februar 2012 eröffneten wir nun die neue Galerie an der Davidsbodenstrasse 11.

Diese Entwicklung, das steigende Engagement an Kunstmessen, sowie die Eröffnung der LICHT FELD Gallery haben uns dazu bewogen die Situation von LICHT FELD zu überdenken und allfällige resp. folgende Anpassungen vorzunehmen. Wir sind zum Schluss gekommen, dass die jährlichen Ausstellungen - mit dem alles angefangen hat - bestehen bleiben muss, jedoch nicht mehr jährlich sondern wir machen eine Biennale daraus und die LICHT FELD Ausstellungen werden nun alle 2 Jahre stattfinden. Die nächste Ausstellung ist im Sommer 2013 geplant. Bewerbungen nehmen wir ab sofort entgegen.

LICHT FELD’s beginning dates back to 2001 when the first exhibition, of what became an annual event, took place on the Gundeldinger Feld in Basel, Switzerland. Word spread, and after 12 consecutive years, the event garnered international recognition. In 2007 LICHT FELD received the first invitation to participate in the SCOPE international art fair in Miami. This event was followed by 14 additional fairs in New York, Chicago, Miami, Palm Beach, Istanbul and Basel.
 
On February 17th of this year we will open our new exhibition space at 11 Davidsbodenstrasse in Basel. This development and the increasing participation in international events has prompted us to reevaluate LICHT FELD’s rather crowded event schedule.
 
We decided to continue with what has become a tradition in Basel, where it all began.  Instead of exhibiting once a year in Basel we will make the Basel event a bi-annual happening. We are looking forward to our next exhibition in Basel in the Summer of 2013
